Welcome

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: (Matthew 12:35)

Welcome to Good Treasure Tales, the home of the Cartoon Christian David Kryn. I take my love of the Bible and try to use the talents that the Lord has given me to bring in more souls for the harvest. I have to admit that it’s a lot of fun. I illustrate and publish the books myself with no editorial interference and I get to tell the stories that I like the most. So far I have produced:

The Temptation of Christ – While working on the drawings for The Temptation of Christ I would think to myself – “Who is this book for? It’s too scary for little kids since it features the devil.” But once it was complete and I could see the pages all together, I felt that I really had something special. It’s epic but not too scary. And Jesus is so powerful the devil pales in comparison. Obviously, it would be up to the parent to decide when is an appropriate age for their child but like all my books it is designed to be read out loud for maximum effect.

Christmas Jesus – I hope that Christmas Jesus would become a Christmas tradition with your family. Based on the Gospel of Luke and the Gospel of Matthew, I tried to portray the birth of Jesus Christ in a way that would lay a strong foundation for faith. I tried to clearly present Jesus, who he was and why he came. I would love if families were to share this book together at Christmas time.

David vs Goliath – David vs Goliath is an adaption of the classic account from the Old Testament. David lived 1000 years before his promised descendant the Lord Jesus Christ. Before he became king and writer of the psalms, David was just a shepherd boy. David was called a man after God’s own heart because of his unshakeable faith and also because he killed the last of the giants, the descendants of the fallen angels.

The Prodigal Son Returns – My first book was The Prodigal Son Returns. The most famous parable in the Bible is told to us by Jesus Christ in the Gospel of Luke Chapter 15. It tells the story of a son who essentially tells his father to drop dead and to give him his inheritance money now. The son then wastes his fortune on wild living. The father’s reaction upon the son’s return forms the message of the story. I think this parable is especially telling. We are the prodigal generation. We have all gone out and seen the cheap, artificial thrills that the world has to offer and now it is time to return to the Father.

I have several ideas on what books I want to do next and as long as the Lord tarries, I will keep doing them until He arrives. Now that you are here, feel free to look around and leave a comment. Join the email list to get updates on the latest happenings.

Thank you, and may the LORD bless you and keep you!
